Integration can be a difficult process. While newcomers to this city are often marginalised socially, Londoners are more likely to read about refugees than engage with the people behind the stories. Welcome Cinema is a move to address this uncertainty, lending a hand to step over the divide.

Tickets to Welcome Cinema are free to refugees and asylum seekers, £17.50-£25 to the general public. Proceeds go back into costs for the event.

Donations and profit go to MEENA - a charity supporting unaccompanied minors in Calais and in the UK.

The greatest introduction to a new culture is through food and we are lucky enough to host the talents of the Welcome Kitchen.


Welcome Kitchen was founded by a team of refugee women in 2016 who wanted to celebrate their cultures through food. The team are available for outside event catering. Watch this space for education projects coming soon.
